The expedition

Robertson, South Africa
31 March – 9 April 2026

A 10-day journey into aliveness, belonging and purpose

Wild Paths the expedition is for people who are curious, thoughtful, and ready to reconnect – not to be fixed, but to deepen their way of being in relationship within a changing and interdepend world.

The expedition

There comes a moment when the path asks for something deeper – not more goals, but more grace.

It’s an immersive, guided experience that invites you to take part fully. Living consciously and caring for the space we share are woven into the learning itself.

Wild Paths the expedition is a ten-day immersion in South Africa: a blend of movement, dialogue, and stillness that invites you to explore what it means to live and act with awareness in a rapidly changing world – through connection with nature, community, and your own inner landscape.

It’s an invitation to remember how to walk life differently – with presence, connection, and enoughness.

More than travel or adventure, this is a transformational learning journey – an embodied exploration held by the wild landscapes of the valley and guided by experienced facilitators, where discovery unfolds in relationship with nature, others, and self.

You’ll experience a rich balance of:

  • Yoga to reconnect body and mind
  • Guided hikes and nature immersions through the valley’s wild landscapes
  • Group-coaching circles exploring purpose, belonging, and balance
  • Rest and creative reflection time for integration and journaling
  • Shared meals and firelight conversations that nurture genuine community and connection

Every moment at Wild Paths – the expedition is part of a living journey – intentionally designed to unfold layer by layer.

Each day follows a natural rhythm of movement, reflection, and connection with nature and others; what begins on day one gradually deepens into clarity, grounding, and renewal.

For those in transition – You might recognise yourself if you are:

  • Walking the edge between purpose and presence – you care deeply about your work or the world, yet feel the need to slow down and breathe again.
  • Craving genuine connection – with nature, with others, with yourself – while navigating the uncertainty of our times.
  • Seeking a new rhythm – one that honours rest, beauty and enoughness.
  • Standing between worlds – combining logic and intuition, care and courage, science and soul.

You don’t need to change who you are – only to remember how it feels to walk in alignment, at your own pace.

You’ll return home with:

  • A renewed sense of aliveness and direction
  • Clarity on what really matters – and how to move towards it
  • A felt experience of belonging to self, others, and nature
  • Practices for moving gently while staying purposeful

Our home during the expedition

“The meals, the laugher, the mountains – everything felt like one continuous, beautiful unfolding”Comfort here means resting deeply, living lightly, and finding connection through simplicity.

For ten days we’ll live close to the land at Metta Mountain – a carefully designed, off-grid retreat space nestled between the mountains, river, and open sky of the Robertson Valley.

We’ll stay in shared safari tents and spend our days mostly outdoors – walking, sharing meals, and gathering by the fire. The space combines simplicity and care, with natural materials, solar power, compost toilets, and an eco pool to cool off after warm days in the valley.

By staying at Metta Mountain, we also support local projects rooted in sustainable and creative ways of living – so your participation directly contributes to the people and place that make this journey possible.
